15 February 2008 The Energy Supply Association has announced Hydro Tasmania as the winner of its 2007 Sustainability Report Award. A judging panel of three independent environmental experts commented that Hydro Tasmania’s winning report had a comprehensive level of detail on sustainability performance and stakeholder engagement. The report also demonstrated a commitment to best practice by illustrating solid linkages between governance and sustainability and to international standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative. Hydro Tasmania was highly commended in the 2006 award and overall winner in 2005. Reports from two members received high commendation this year – CitiPower and Powercor, the award winner in 2006, and Ergon Energy.
