esaa Domestic Gas Study

In the light of uncertainty in Australia’s major domestic gas markets moving forward, esaa has commissioned a series of domestic gas studies. The first two reports in this process have been undertaken by EnergyQuest.

The project will not involve any additional quantitative modelling of Australia’s gas markets. Instead it will use publicly available energy market forecasts, any quantitative resources that may be readily available and the knowledge embedded within ESAA’s membership to develop a well targeted, qualitative analysis of the major influences on Australia’s major domestic gas markets to 2030.

The aim of the project is to enable esaa to better understand the outlook for the domestic gas market and the factors that may influence it to promote discussion within its membership and ultimately to inform its policy positions.

The project will cover eastern Australia, Western Australia and the Northern Territory and the time horizon is to 2030.
