This 2011 Update assesses progress against recommendations by esaa in its first review of the WA energy market in 2009.
In the light of uncertainty in Australia's major domestic gas markets moving forward, esaa has commissioned a series of domestic gas studies. The first two reports in this process have been undertaken by EnergyQuest.
ACIL Tasman was commissioned by esaa to undertake a study into the impact of reduced levels of electricity contracting on electricity prices in the National Electricity Market (NEM). This modelling is designed to assess likely impacts of lower contracting caused by the introduction of the carbon price and structure of the Clean Energy Future package.
Scope for Improvement 2011 focuses on approaches to and management of project risk and the impact of those on project outcomes. The research was conducted by partners at Blake Dawson with support from the Australian Constructors Association, Infrastructure Partnerships Australia and the Energy Supply Association of Australia.
